The Global Donor Platform for Rural Development is seeking a Senior Team Leader for the Platform. The tasks of the senior team leader include the management of the secretariat and the cooperation with the co-chairs and the board and non-board members. More importantly, the support to the implementation of the Strategic Plan 2016 – 2020 and to the various strategic thematic working groups, which will encounter a number of interesting new opportunities and challenges in the changing financial architecture of the Agenda 2030. The Platform provides the space for members and partners to address these issues in a coordinated way and the team leader of the secretariat is engaging with the membership in administrative, strategic and substantive terms.
The post is asking for profiles which range from sound management skills and experiences with international agendas to excellent communication and networking skills to assist in fulfilling the functions of the Platform, i.e. knowledge creation and management, networking and outreach. The post demands excellent command of English and German (spoken and written) because the secretariat is hosted in a German-speaking administration.
