Anne-Lucie WACK is currently the Director of Agropolis Fondation and the leader of its
scientific network. She was appointed as the director of this new institution after being in charge of its creation.
Prior to this, she spent 20 years in agricultural research and scientific cooperation, mainly within Cirad, as head of various units and programmes, as head of the 10-year Strategic Planning project (“Cirad 2010”), and secretary general of its Ethics Committee. She also worked with the president of Agropolis International, in charge of the reorganization of the Montpellier scientific cluster. She has been involved in various coordination, programming or assessment bodies at national and international levels,e.g., IAASTD and the French Agency for Food Safety (AFSSA); Science Committee of the Unesco French Commission; French National Agency for Research (ANR); Altran Foundation, ERAfrica Scientific Advisory Council, AgroParisTech Science Council, AWARD SC and GRISP Oversight Comm.
