Broken supply chains, a pandemic and human conflict are adding to the existential crises caused by climate change and population growth. Rural communities and those living in marginal environments are amongst the most vulnerable to these threats but is the higher education system able to meet their needs and address the challenges that the face now and in the future?

GFAR Talks is an exciting new webinar series showcasing informed debates on challenging and provocative topics related to agrifood system transformation. Organized in collaboration with the Young Professionals for Agricultural Development and moderated by Prof. Sayed Azam-Ali OBE.

MANAGE- Centre for Innovation and Agripreneurship (CIA), has been conducting an open to all “Saturday Webinar Series'' to create awareness among Agri Startups, Agri Entrepreneurs, Faculties, Scholars, Students & other important stakeholders regarding the Agri Startup Ecosystem. A series of webinars are being conducted every Saturday from October 10, 2020, by MANAGE-CIA through an online platform. To date, they have conducted 132 webinars with more in the pipeline.

This is a report on a webinar organized by the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR) to discuss ways in which GFAR could engage with and support the implementation of national pathways for the United Nations Food Systems Summit (UNFSS) at the regional and country levels. The webinar featured presentations from various organizations and highlighted the importance of research and innovation in achieving the goals of the UNFSS. The report discusses the role of different regions in implementing the UNFSS national pathways, including Africa, Central Asia and the Caucasus, and Asia.
