The new GFAR Document Repository is a cooperative product of the GFAR Secretariat in collaboration with the Library and Documentation Systems Division of FAO.
At present, the new GFAR Document Repository contains over 900 documents; all catalogued according to existing information exchange standards widely promoted by the AGRIS Network (i.e. AGRIS AP and AGROVOC).
Thanks to the AGRIS AP export, GFAR is now an AGRIS Center (see the AGRIS Network

FARA, CTA, CIRAD: a call for case studies for the first International Conference of the AIDA Project<br />(Accra, Ghana, 22-24 January 2007)

The International Conference on "Agricultural innovations in dryland Africa: what are the key drivers for success?" is the launching event of the INCO project "Unlocking the Potentialities of Agriculture in the Drylands of Africa to fight hunger (AIDA)".

We welcome case studies on innovations that have led to sustainable improvements in livelihoods and natural resource management in Africas drylands, or critical analyses of failed interventions.

Regoverning Markets call for proposals

Regoverning Markets opened a call for proposals.
We are looking for empirical case studies on innovative practices in connecting smallholder farmers with dynamic agro-food markets.
We are also welcoming desk studies on policies that create a favourable environment for market participation by smallholders. The deadline for submission is 26 November 2006.
