Last year, GFAR partnered with and supported Food Tank - The Food Think Tank in its efforts to engage wider involvement in sustainable food systems in the 2014 International Year of Family Farming. Now, Food Tank has put out a call to farmers of all kinds, all over the world, to participate in their new Farmer Spotlight Series and speak up about their work and experiences, from their own perspectives. Participants are asked to fill in a user-friendly questionnaire available in several languages that pose open-ended questions. The questionnaires aim to get a picture of the background of the respondents and what motivated them to pursue a career in agriculture; which sustainable farming practices they already use; what problems they face; and which information resources they turn to in order to tackle these problems.
